The Importance of Humour in American
You've said playing Tom was unlike anything you've ever done. It was quote, like sweeping out the cupboard and I don't want to project. To play this kind of person is such departure, it was just bliss. And it's American, which is a big jump for a break. But there's something very British about the actual sense of humour. There are lots of bricks in the writers room. Maybe it allows them to be a bit more gimlet-eyed about it,. That's my theory anyway.
