The Value Judgment of the Tax Code
I don't think the idea is, again, to engineer out things that you're grouping in as natural increments of value. I don't think this argument makes it so that you have to try to engineer that out completely. There are in our connections with one another values that come from us being connected to each other. The way our tax system works right now is that we tax work and glorify finance by capital gains. One way that we could address this structurally is to flip that around.
