Is the Fed Nearing or in a Super Restrictive Phase?
We're very close, I think, to the Fed. The key message is they can't tell you they're about to finish. Overall, financial conditions are still very restrictive. There's a danger that as you squeeze out the excess demand and profit margins, you're in a hard landing before you know it. That's why the Fed must be quite careful not pushing rates too high.
