I met Anders when I was in graduate school and he was reading these scientific papers on what makes experts, experts. And he became a mentor and a friend. We wrote about him a long time ago and then we collaborated a little bit on some things. He understood that the implications of his discoveries about how people really do get better were going to be radically different from the way we're operating now.
