If a prospect cannot give you answers about his or her needs from that discovery call, this is probably a prospect that doesn't have the funding. You don't want to be like most salespeople and argue with them because you're not going to make that deal. If they say, oh, we would definitely do business with you at that point, then you really need to pursue that opportunity.
