"You always just want to have somebody in your corner period," she says. "Sometimes we know more about the artist than the manager, but sometimes the manager is equally as important." In a way, it's like pitching in partnership: You don't have to do it alone. All of the pitching doesn't have to be up to you.
Why does “selling” sometimes give us such the ick?
