The Story of the Rosenwald Schools Program

In 19 37, president roosevelt calls up edwin embry at the fund and says, i'd like a rosenwald school in merryweather county, georgia - near his home in warm springs. The black community makes its contribution as does the westerly part of mery County; it's called eleanor roosesporters' school.
