How to Measure Black Spots on a Photographic Plate

Dorothy created a scale to measure the intensity of black spots on photographic plates. Numbers were then written down against each spot, which had a label. This enabled her to work backwards from atomic positions in crystal that gave defraction pattern. She also used beavers lips and strips for making red somations.
