In 1979, Fylo and I pieced together that first subgenius pamphlet. It was right after I had printed it up and started sending it around to publishers that I realized that the Prigkeeping of Discordia was real. And then he, you read that and that was part of the inspiration behind the truth. You know, our stuff is mostly quite original but got tips of the hat to Devo who came out with "Chichi roger," which looks kind of like Bob Dylan's "True Stories" But when David Byrne did his movie True, there wasn't any money in it because people were still paying subgenius fees.
