On days I meditate, I'm able to write about 40% more words than on days that I don't. Meditation and mindfulness practices actually increase our working memory capacity. You're able to focus deeper because you have more attentional resources to give to whatever is in front of you in the moment. Happiness can be found by doing things like recalling positive experiences we've had all day.
