The total market cap of all stable coins combined currently stands at more than 100 billion dollars and counting. Stable coins are crypto currencies that are designed to mirror the price of a regular fiet currency, usually the us Dollar. When demand for a stable coin is high enough, this can push its price above a dollar. Trading against a stable coin also makes it much easier to calculate your gains and losses. Most of the trading volume any given coin or token comes from stable coin pears.
