Is There a Mother Wound in Our Theology?
Catherine: I feel like I'm just waking up to this deep wound that you're speaking of. We have to sort of make ourselves small often, right to not threaten the system that supposedly functions so well. And as the default, but once you sort of push up against that and realize that that is what's making you deeply sorrowful or depressed or feeling just like a shell then you really begin to feel the reality of that. There's actually this other way of being in the world and it's very much opposed to what I've been told is who I should be. For me personally, a feminine divine to me is it is the language I'm more comfortable with than mother.
