I'm slightly reminded of the way that throughout the new labour years, we'd actually say criminal justice bill every year. But this doesn't necessarily make for better law, actually. A stronger tie-in with where the existing law is being interpreted might actually be more effective in a lot of these cases rather than just saying, right, we're going to create a whole new load of offences. Also making its way through the elementary canal of Poland at the moment is the public order bill. The government has decided police need powers to stop protests before they're even happening.
