The Authority of the People
In Ezra and Nehemiah, there is also this question of the authority of the people. It seems like whenever you have an exilic community or a community that has been exiled, those sort of need to play off of each other. Do we see this same inner play? I'm kind of moving past that Nehemiah 8 context into the era of the New Testament and then even to the early church as well.
