Shaft was not a pleasant experience for John. He really wanted his script and Scott absolutely insisted on Richard Price's script. But ultimately, the movie turned out really well. It did a lot of money. I just wish there was someone that remembered besides me what we had agreed on doing in post. And it's odd to me that they don't do that.
