Andy Warhol

Andy Warhol was actually born Andrew Warhola in Pittsburgh, USA on the 6th of August, 1928. His parents were immigrants from what's now Eastern Slovakia. Andy had cydinum korea as a kid which caused his limbs to make involuntary jerky movements and kept him at home a lot of the time. He claimed to have had three nervous breakdowns by the time he was ten. For his first job at Glatma magazine, the A was dropped from Warhola and he became Warhol.
