The Challenges of AI in the Development of AI Systems
AI at the moment is geared towards pressing clinical issues subjective areas such as prostate cancer and then what is deemed to be low-hanging fruit. There are several technical considerations that have to be taken into account because obviously their geographic variations in the way slides are produced or how algorithm would interpret these subtle differences. It's a long drawn-out process that is somewhat painstaking but obviously iterative so once that is done then you know follow-up is performed validation is performed and the ability of the algorithm to be accurate is assessed before it goes into regulatory balances.
