Kant and the Mind: A Comparison
A lot of this talk does stem from Kant. But even for Kant, there's data. We don't just get to make shit up. The world has structure independent of the mind. That's the whole point of the thing in itself. And even if we're representing it as in space, as in time, that might have been different if our minds are different. But the data couldn't have been different. There'd be some kind of mapability. It's really hard to conceive of.
