Is There a Moral Panic About Children Having Access to Sexually Exposed Content?
The internet offers and always has offered a really powerful venue for expression and also discovery. I think that's scary for people who want to tie that kind of thing down, like they don't want people to think outside of what they're told. The kids stuff is really easy to get politicians on board with specifically. No one's going to sign that anti-trafficking bill because then you're the politician that is against saving the kids from trafficking. So it gets twisted. It felt very familiar.
