The Role of a Data Modeler at Etsy
Etsy is an e-commerce site that provides vendor sellers to showcase handmade and vintage items. So my job is to be able to describe those very unique niche items and some of the other concepts around them so that buyers can easily find what they're looking for or discover something that they didn't think that they knew that they wanted or needed but can present it to them. Being able to present the right metadata at the right time and understand the context of the metadata.
