The in Counter Intuitive Concept of Learning

i think there's been a rush to rush to do independent learning or independent task in the name of developing independent learners. And it has the exact opposite intended effect. I imagine, as a student then going into a lesson, and within two minutes being like, i'm already,. i'm already behind, as they may conceive it, i’m already out. We've all done that as adults. Think we we say, don't we ar that stont switched off? What can my son, daughter do better are they needto need to keep listening. They need to stop switching off.
