I've Seen a Lot of These Tendencies Develop Throughout My Life, Joey.

I grew up in both the South Asian diaspora community in the US, as well as the post-Soviet or Ukrainian diaspora communities. And a lot of these tendencies I've seen develop throughout my lifetime have been very conservative. They push forward candidates that have been endorsed by the BJP and attend temples which are funded by the RSS. This is an example of how migrant communities become more conservative as their status in their new country solidifies.
