Vanta Black - The Deepest Black Pigment

Pigments af very old and have been around for a long time. People would transfer oces over hundreds of miles by foot. These pigments were used for certain ceremonial purposes. Vanta black is actually now part of the forbes collection, but since it was originally created for the defense industry, it's been pretty mysterious and inaccessible.
