We're in a position of tremendous uncertainty about how the future will unfold. There's one part of the probability mass that says no matter what we do, the future turns out wonderful and it doesn't so much matterwhat we do. And then there's another part of the Probability Mass that says things are so terrible they don't make any difference at all. We don't know whether we're in one of those two worlds, or we're somewhere in the middle, where what we do matters.
