The New York Times recently reported that the American embassy actually shredded people's passports. You're not the only Sudanese who found themselves without a passport because they submitted their passport to a foreign embassy in Khartoum for a visa. But I understand you were able to locate your passport, thankfully. Can you describe that story? Yes. The war broke out on the 15th of April,. On the 13th of April, I had an appointment at the Spanish embassy. It took me about a week to write to the embassy because I also felt that this could end soon.
