Is It Fair to Refer to Liz Trust and Her Finance Minister, Quasi Quartang, as Economic Idealogues?
British financial markets have lost 500 billion dollars in the three weeks since elizabeth trust became prime minister. A lot of the turmoil has been concentrated in just the pas week when trustas chancellor of the exchequer, basically her finance minister, announced the details of the new government's budget plans. The pound, briton's currency, fell in value to historic lows while at the same time, the interest rate on government debt increased. But we thought we could zoome out to understand the broader stakes of what's going on here.
