The Limiting Factor Is Not Resources
The limiting factor is not resources, but knowledge of how to take the useless and turn it into the useful. We never knew that pitch blend ore could be turned into uranium until advanced knowledge of mining and nuclear physics taught us how. It's our ledge, and in particular, our knowledge of resources, that drives progress. Shouldn't we be afraid of running out of them? This is the lesson over and over again: what we learn,. what we know, the knowledge we create, takes useless matter and turns it into something useful, a resource. Outside of our physical home, it is our resource.
