The Fed Is Changing the Global Investment Landscape

The Fed announced this week that it would begin to slow or taper those bond purchases and do so soon, ending them completely by the middle of next year. Investors have woken up to the exact same interest rates and purchases from the fed every day for more than a year. The last time the market focused on slowing fed purchases in 20 13 and 20 14, equity markets generally climbed, but yields rose and gold prices sank. We think these events remain challenging, and investors will get a better opportunity to be more aggressive later in the year.
