British people use more old language than Americans do. Australians play with it, shorten it and breathe it a bit like us. If something's palatable, I feel like,. eh, I can eat it, eh, I could not eat it. We'd say that maybe something that we don't like is might be gross. Doey, I think of a donut, doe, underbaked, not cooked. Rock hard means it's been cooked too much. Superbaked, the same, bitter, dry, sour, burnt, mushy, overly sweet, and stale. Is bread can go stale? Yeah. Acceptable.
