The Importance of Empathy in a Conversation
The most persuasive communication has to, or at its best, is firing on all three of these cylinders. High logic, high authenticity, and high empathy. So my diagnosis of knocking on this shut door is that you're knocking on the door with very high logic. Of course you're right. This is the wrong decision, right? But you have, in those moments where you have sometimes seconds, maybe minutes on a good day to influence the decision,. You have to come in firing on all 3 of those cylinders in order to have an impact.
