The Importance of Tibet in US Foreign Policy

Mariana: If the Dalai Lama and Buddhist spiritual leaders are already concerned about China being too interested in this, I wonder whether that will just be another extra thing for China to be concerned about. Oli: It does remind us, basically, that Tibet exists, right? And it has been superseded by things like Hong Kong and Taiwan, when it comes to thinking about how China is redrawing the map. Mariana: To what extent will it just not emphasize or make the tensions even worse? Like it will just add another layer of complexity to the question.
