Before 1950, in the non-jazz world and the popular music series, it's Frank Sinatra. I suppose it is possible that, you know, over time, those things could emerge and become sort of the stand for what rock music was. But also, if that were to happen, it would suggest something about rock music that would be kind of profoundly untrue. And literature's not really like that as much.
