In SQL Mesh, you can do the standardSQL but also write Python. The only thing you need to do when writing a Python model is either return a pandas data frame or a PySpark data frame. And we found many people, many of our clients really enjoy the ease and power of our Python models. We don't have to ship off the Python code to snowflake.

Summary
Data transformation is a key activity for all of the organizational roles that interact with data. Because of its importance and outsized impact on what is possible for downstream data consumers it is critical that everyone is able to collaborate seamlessly.
