Franzb as was a german jewish emigrant to the united states who arrived in the 18 eighties. He didn't really have any plan for his life, other than he wanted to write some newspaper articles and become a professor somewhere. And from that point, his career slowly begins to take off. Eventually becomes recognized as the founder of american anthropology,. Gathers around him a circle of geniuses, as it turns out, initially undergraduates and graduate students by people who would on to become, in the twentieth century, some of the great social scientific minds.
