What Is the History of Plastic?
When was the first plastic as we might recognize plastic? The history of plastic and the history of its invention depends on how you define plastic. There's sort of like three places where people start to talk about the invention of plastic. One is with William Henry Perkins, who invented out of coal tar. He discovered that you could produce a synthetic mauve which at the time was really revolutionary.
