How Deep Can a Church Be in Relationships With Schools?
A historic african american church partnered with a predominantly white suburban church in pembroke and they together served a boston public school for six years. The two churches, starting with their senior pastors, built a friendship with each other that deepened as they served together. One of the areas of need was around parent engagement. And so the churches helped coordinate family events and parent semenars which really enabled the school to engage their parents in a way that they didn't have before.
