The US-China Climate Cooperation Over the Past 30 Years
CNN's John Defterios was in China for quite a long time toward the end of last year, while China still had its zero-covid policy. He went to work on a project looking at US-China climate cooperation over the past 30 years with an eye to sort of how should it change over the next 10 years or so. This was inspired by the joint declaration at Glasgow in 2021. The two countries said they were going to resume cooperation. So much has changed in both countries that it seemed like we should really think about what that cooperation has been, what worked, what didn't work and what might work in the future.
