Is There a Way to Make Your Mac a Beacon?

You can turn your Mac into an I-beacon transmitter. There is a terminal command that you can use, but there's also an app from Beacon Zone which can make your Mac advertise an I-Beacon. You get the UUID and then you use that in your apps as the trigger. It's looking for the I-beacons with that user-i unique ID and then you're good to go. Now they also, in addition to the ID number, there are two additional numbers attached to each I-be beacon.
