The enlightenment philosophers thought that madness was like a form of like being an animal. I think that kind of has still like carried over into now. Like we still look at psychosis as this like unique like state that's almost not human, but it is a very human thing because there are so many things that can cause it. The world we live in living under capitalism constantly makes perfect sense depending on how marginalized you are.
