Orden's Ecprastic Poems

In the final stanza arden very definitely refers to peter brigle the elder's landscape with the fall of icarus, so we can't really get round that. But i discover orden, i have to say, long before gogle images. And i loved the poem for years before i ever saw a representation of the painting. So i think orden has achieved, even though he directly refers to a painting, i think he's achieved a poem that doesn't need that visual reference.
