The Hydro Capillary Effect in Teapot Spouts

The dribbling is partially the result of what the researchers call a hydro capillary effect. The rate at which you pour determines how big those drops on the underside of the lip get. Gravity does not play a major role in causing the teapot effect, meaning that teapots will still dribble on the moon or in low gravity environments.
