Derrick: I think a big part of it is just hanging too much on the idea of balance. The goal with spolunky two, more so than spolunky one, was not to make like a really good balanced game, but make like a world that feels really rich and just fun to explore. A got pretty bad seed this yearo, bad? Yes, exactly. But i try really hard not to think about game design in s of balancing. To me, the idea of balance is one of those concepts that you have to learn as a game designer.
