It kind of comes from the idea of the gargoyle is like a protector. Putting these demons and stuff on this architecture. It actually keeps the demons away because they see that as like, Oh, there's already demons there. Don't need to go there. So it's finks is they are. Keep the mud hands away. Put on architecture that is symbolic for guarding knowledge. So essentially, there's knowledge. These finks is at the entrances because they're guarding something supernatural.
