Marina von normann whitman is a prominent economist who's now retired. Her stepmother Clarie died almost 60 years ago, but marina is still holding on to some of her old papers. The proposed title was very revealing. It was called, a grasshopper in very tall grass. So she obviously saw herself as this little creature sort of buried in much taller environment.
