Christian Missions in Scandinavia
In the 800 20s there was a greater degree of acceptance and even encouragement of christian missionaries in scandinavia having mission churches in a town meant that you could host more foreign merchants who would be able to visit and stay for longer. Many scandinavian kings began to see more of an advantage in encouraging christianity it could serve as a unifying factor bridging local tribal and clan animosities in their kingdoms.
