The Different Types of Family in Angles
The most important moment in the book is this difference between the no property, mother oriented family type society and then it changes with the introduction of property. And I think this is more important than the idea of progression from one type of family to the other. It was also interesting how angles points to how these different forms of family that were observed were not this kind of chaos or unregulated promiscuity as some conservative sources called them. But rather were system with their own kind of strict rules but that were not the same as the more the kind of family relationships that were associated with industrial society or industrializing society.
