So sometimes there is a tension where the mesolimbic beats the rewarding meso cortical. What that means is that we're going to choose rewarding behavior over like planning and executing tasks over long periods of time. If meditate, what we can do is reverse this. Because we're enhancing our cortical circuits, we are going to be able to take do planned actions more than like immediately rewarding actions.
