The Importance of Passion in Life
I get so exhilarated by talking to people who are very deeply interested in something. That really excites me because you just don't know what comes out of yourself and out of other people when you're having that kind of conversation. I had a pretty unusual upbringing in the sense that I grew up in apartheid South Africa, but my parents sent me to the only un-segregated school under apartheid. So whether it was getting involved in South Africa's first take back the night march or co-funding the Cambridge Gender Center,. starting things like LeapFrog that has impassioned me since early on.
