Quantum Mechanics and Teleportation
The idea of teleportation is that you can go from one place to another without being in the intermediate places. In this case, a 3D scanner creates a digital representation of an object and then sends it as electronic or optical form to another place. There are an awful lot of atoms in a person let's say there are on the order of well, a one with maybe 27 zeros after it. So turning that into kind of digital information, sending it and so on far beyond what current technology can do. Now nobody knows how to do that right now.
