Is There a Complexity in Fear?

Fear is the most powerful dynamic in my life. I think maybe everybody's life, but I just don't want to generalize that across the board. St. Thomas Aquinas actually defines fear as the anticipation of the loss of a good that we desire. There's so much, I feel like, complexity to this dynamic. And if maybe we can boil it down a little bit for our listeners, maybe I'm the only one who's feeling complex. Right?
